Up to now, the financial support of MEC projects, mainly provided by the United Nations, from funds destined to short emergency projects, or for long term projects of development. These funds always have a specific destiny with a detailed description of the activities to which they were destined and are always controlled and approved by the ONU.
However, MEC doesn't depend of the UN decisions, has autonomy about its plans and decisions as to where to work and how and when to do so. And, as every foundation, receives donations and collaborations from enterprises and particulars, carrying no identification of any commercial, political, religious or ideological idea. The only commitment is to be transparent in its administration of the funds that are completely destined for the relief of the suffering people, through humanitarian action.
The budgets for the missions are basically funded by the International Organizations. However, considering the programs developed in the missions, it is necessary to seek for complementary funds, for better know-how, technology, communication and other equipment, volunteers, from enterprises who become necessary partners to produce a social change, while accomplishing their commercial goals. |
